Morey Hall and Shepard Hall are located on the southwestern edge of Main Campus next to Watkins Hall and Conway and Richards halls. Morey-Shepard, Conway, and Richards halls are all connected.

Morey-Shepard features large traditional and a select number of suite-style units.

These residence halls are a great option for students who want to feel part of a housing community and be close to their classes as well as any on-campus activities and events.

Although individual units are single-gendered per our housing policies, both buildings are co-ed and primarily house first-year students.

Unit Options

Morey-Shepard has a variety of unit sizes for students seeking different housing and roommate accommodations.

You can choose from:

Double – 2 people
Single* – 1 person
Suite Triple* – 3 people (includes 1 large room)
Suite Quad* – 4 people (includes a common area)

Unit Furniture & Other Features

Every unit in Morey-Shepard comes furnished with:

An extra-long twin bed
An extra-long twin mattress—soft on one side, firm on the other
A wardrobe with shelving for extra storage
A desk with 2 drawers and 2 open shelves
A desk chair

Front Desk & Mail Area

The first thing you’ll see when you walk into Morey-Shepard is the front desk. This front desk is the front desk for Conway Hall and Richards Hall too.

At the front desk, you can use your Warrior ID to check-out kitchen equipment, board games, DVDs, basic tools, jumper cables, and more.

This is also the area where you’ll check in yourself or guests who plan to stay in your room overnight. Please stay up-to-date on housing policies to ensure you aren’t in violation.

All students living in Morey-Shepard halls access their mail in the mail area next to the front desk.

You can pick up any packages you receive that can’t fit inside your mailbox behind the front desk. You’ll get an email notifying you that you have a package waiting for pickup.

Another essential near the front desk is a printer that you can use to print your homework assignments, study notes, or lecture slides from class.

Kitchen

The first floor of Morey-Shepard has a full kitchen that’s equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and sink.

You can check-out any kitchen equipment you don’t bring during move-in at the front desk of the buildings.

If you’d like to sit down to enjoy your meal, whether by yourself or alongside guests, there’s also a table and multiple chairs.

Lounge

The main lounge of Morey-Shepard is also located on the first floor.

Take a break from studying at the pool table or meet with your lab partner to finalize a report at the tables and chairs.

You can also settle into the comfy chairs for a cat-nap or a viewing of the news, sports games, or movies and shows on the wall-mounted TV.

Head over to the front desk to check-out board games, pool table equipment, and DVDs, using your Warrior ID.

Resident Assistants (RAs) also tend to host fun floor and building events in these lounges, so keep an eye on when events will be held in these areas.

Laundry

On the first floor of Morey-Shepard, you’ll find a laundry facility where you can do your laundry for free.

This laundry room has 7 washers and 7 dryers.

Don’t forget your detergent and dryer sheets!

Outdoor Courtyard

Located in the center of Morey-Shepard halls, Conway Hall, and Richards Hall is an outdoor courtyard that’s great for Warriors who just can’t enough of the outdoors.

Get a quick workout in on the sand volleyball court, take a breather on the benches, or check-out lawn games from the front desk using your Warrior ID.

24/7 Security & Controlled Door Access

To maintain your safety on campus, only students who live in “The Quad” can use their Warrior IDs to enter the complex.

That means students living in other residence halls or guests must have a Quad resident accompany and escort them to and from the building when visiting.
