Front Desk & Mail Area

The first thing you’ll see when you walk into Sheehan Hall is the front desk.

At the front desk, you can use your Warrior ID to check-out kitchen equipment, board games, DVDs, basic tools, jumper cables, and more.

This is the area where you’ll check in yourself or guests who plan to stay in your room overnight, too. Please stay up-to-date on housing policies to ensure you aren’t in violation.

The entryway in Sheehan Hall also includes the mail area, where all students living in the building get their mail.

You can pick up any packages you receive that can’t fit inside your mailbox behind the front desk. You’ll get an email notifying you that you have a package waiting for pickup.

Another essential near the front desk is a printer that you can use to print your homework assignments, study notes, or lecture slides from class.

Kitchen & Kitchenettes

Each floor of Sheehan Hall has a kitchenette that includes a microwave, toaster, and sink.

These kitchenettes are open 24 hours a day, meaning you’ve got somewhere to go when the late-night munchies kick in.

All residents also have access to the full kitchen located on the first floor of Sheehan Hall. This kitchen is attached to the main lounge of the building.

The main kitchen facility is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and sink for you to prepare a meal.

You can check-out any kitchen equipment you don’t bring during move-in at the front desk of the building.

Whether you’re cooking for a group or for yourself, there’s also a bar-top counter and multiple tables and chairs for you to use.

Lounges

Each floor of Sheehan Hall has a comfy lounge.

Work on your class assignments and prepare for upcoming exams at the study area.

Or sit back, relax, and catch up with your friends in the chairs next to a window overlooking Main Campus.

There’s also a main lounge located on the first floor of the building.

With a big screen TV, this lounge is your go-to spot for socializing and watching flicks. You can attend Hall Council meetings in this space, too.

Resident Assistants (RAs) also tend to host fun floor and building events in this main lounge, so keep an eye on when events will be held here.

Laundry

In the basement of Sheehan Hall, you’ll find a laundry facility where you can do your laundry for free.

The laundry room has 12 washers and 12 dryers.

Don’t forget your detergent and dryer sheets!

Volleyball Court

Right outside Sheehan Hall, you’ll find a sand volleyball court that gets a lot of activity throughout the school year—especially during Welcome Week.

Check-out volleyballs from the front desk using your Warrior ID and challenge your roommate, floormates, or your friends to an outdoor game.

24/7 Security & Controlled Door Access

To maintain your safety on campus, only students who live in Sheehan Hall can use their Warrior IDs to enter the building.

That means students living in other residence halls or guests must have a Sheehan Hall resident accompany and escort them to and from the building when visiting.

Campus Security and Parking Services, which oversees the safety and parking accommodations for campus personnel, is also located next to the front desk and mail area on the first floor.
