During this time, any questions you may have about prospective majors or the admission process can be answered.<\/p>\n<p>Not sure what to ask? Here&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.winona.edu\/admissions\/blog\/8-questions-to-ask-admissions-counselors\/\">eight questions to get the conversation started<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Your admissions counselor has a wide array of knowledge at their disposal for you to take advantage of. If you would like to know more about a particular academic department or facet of athleticism.<\/p>\n<p>For example, they can get you in contact with a professor or coach\u2014likely within the same day.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Main Campus Guided Tour<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Afterwards, our tour guides\u2014who are all actual WSU students\u2014will show you around the beautiful main campus with all the academic buildings. Not only are the tour guides filled with information about the campus, but they also have a wealth of personal experience to share.<\/p>\n<p>During your tour, you\u2019ll see what everyday student life entails\u2014from classrooms, to the huge <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/wellness\/tour.asp\">wellness complex<\/a>, to the dining hall and other food services, to the beautiful landscaping, and complementary Wi-Fi so you can send pictures back home.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Housing and Residence Tour<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The last part of your official WSU visit is the housing tour, again given by real students, who have personally lived at least a year in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/housing\/default.asp\">residence halls<\/a> you\u2019ll see. Each hall has a special tour room staged to closely resemble how our students live.<\/p>\n<p>If you visit during the fall or spring semesters, several students will even have their doors open to give you a peek into actual on-campus life.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>After-Visit Activities<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Of course, after the official visit has come to an end, we encourage you to do some exploring of your own.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps you would like to spend more time in an area you learned about on the tour. Winona State\u2019s campus is very compact and easy to navigate.<\/p>\n<p>Admissions counselors and student tour guides are available to answer any remaining questions you have.<\/p>\n<p>If you have some time to kill before heading back home or to your next destination, the town of <a href=\"https:\/\/visitwinona.com\">Winona<\/a> has many restaurants, shops, and outdoor attractions to see.<\/p>\n<p>The recently renovated Levee Park provides a view of the Mississippi River, Garvin Heights is a short drive up the bluffs for a breathtaking overlook of the city, and there\u2019s even a trail to hike up to the famous Sugar Loaf.<\/p>\n<p>Feeling hungry?
