Let\u2019s be honest, one of the scariest things to think about when heading off to college is who your roommate will be. WSU offers a <\/span><\/span>roommate request process<\/span><\/span><\/a>, but if you don\u2019t request a roommate, it\u2019s totally fine! Many of our students are paired with someone they did not know ahead of time\u2014and believe it or not, those can be some of the most successful roommate stories that are told.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Whether you are looking for a roommate or just want to start meeting students in your class, here are some great ways to get connected.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”Complete Lifestyle Questions” _builder_version=”4.19.0″ _module_preset=”default” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n From March 1 \u2013 May 1<\/strong>, you can fill out a few lifestyle questions within your housing application<\/a>. These questions will help \u201cmatch\u201d you will another person who has similar priorities as you. There is a <\/span><\/span>New Warriors<\/span> Facebook Group<\/span><\/span><\/a>. You<\/span> can join and make an introductory post. This is a great way to find and meet new people who have similar interests, hobbies, and majors <\/span>as<\/span> you.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n If you are thinking about having a roommate, but you don\u2019t know anyone who is going to be attending Winona next year, don\u2019t fret.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”Roommate Request Process” _builder_version=”4.19.0″ _module_preset=”default” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n If you find someone you want to live with, you can request them through the\u00a0housing portal<\/a>\u00a0March 1- May 1<\/strong>. If you need, ask an RA to help mediate a conversation between you and your roommate.
