But here are the top 5 reasons why I love the fall in Winona best:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1) Fall colors on the bluffs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>How lucky are we to able to watch the bluffs transform from their green splendor into a skyline of orange, red and yellow watercolors?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.winona.edu\/admissions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/bluffs.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-990 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.winona.edu\/admissions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/bluffs-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"red, gold and brown trees on the bluffs\" width=\"553\" height=\"415\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>2) Apple orchards are\u00a0a magical, mystical place<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Caramel apples, apple turnovers and apple picking\u2026need I say more?<\/p>\n<p>This year I went apple picking at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fergusonsorchard.com\">Ferguson&#8217;s Apple Orchard<\/a> with my best friend Alia, my mom and my mom\u2019s best friend. Alia snapped this picture as I was reaching into a tree for more Haralson apples.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.winona.edu\/admissions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Apple-Orchard.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-989 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.winona.edu\/admissions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Apple-Orchard.jpg\" alt=\"a girl picking apples\" width=\"353\" height=\"470\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>3) WSU Homecoming<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.winona.edu\/sal\/homecoming.asp\">Homecoming<\/a> is the one time a year when everyone rallies behind our Warriors and it\u2019s always a blast.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_988\" style=\"width: 548px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.winona.edu\/admissions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/HoCo.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-988\" class=\" wp-image-988 \" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.winona.edu\/admissions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/HoCo.jpg\" alt=\"women in WSU apparel pose together\" width=\"538\" height=\"403\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-988\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">I went to the Homecoming game last year with my friends Aly and Lindsay.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>4) Fall-themed coffee drinks at Mugby Junction<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m not even ashamed to utter these words: <em>pumpkin spiced lattes. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.winona.edu\/admissions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Pumpkin-Spice-Latte.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-991\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.winona.edu\/admissions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Pumpkin-Spice-Latte-1024x790.jpg\" alt=\"pumpkin spice latte\" width=\"491\" height=\"379\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>5)\u00a0Tews Corn Maze<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Living in such a small town close to farming areas has its perks.
