First things first \u2013 Fill out the FAFSA<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Your first important step toward applying for federal and state financial aid is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid<\/a> (FAFSA\u00ae) form at studentaid.gov.<\/p>\n

Winona State\u2019s FAFSA CODE is 002394.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once your FAFSA is received by WSU, you\u2019ll be automatically considered for state and federal financial aid and WSU Scholarships. <\/p>\n

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships<\/h4>\n

Phi Theta Kappa members with a 3.5+ cumulative GPA and an earned associate degree or completed Minnesota Transfer Curriculum qualify for $1,000 awards per year ($500 per semester).<\/p>\n

$1,000 Scholarships<\/h4>\n

Awarded to transfers with 30+ credits and a cumulative college GPA of 3.35+ at the time of application to WSU for the academic year.<\/p>\n

Resident Tuition Scholarship<\/h4>\n

Pay the same as a resident!<\/p>\n

Transfer students from non-resident states can qualify for in-state tuition rates with the Resident Tuition Scholarship.<\/p>\n

This award means that you will pay the Minnesota resident (in-state) tuition rate rather than the non-resident (out-of-state) tuition rate. You can think of it as a roughly $6,500 scholarship.<\/p>\n

Students from reciprocity states (WI, SD, ND) will receive the grant but are still eligible to apply for reciprocity. Reciprocity may provide students with a lower cost depending upon tuition rates from participating states.<\/p>\n

This scholarship is renewable if you maintain at least a 2.5 GPA in college.<\/p>\n
