She went on to earn a master of arts in health and human services administration from Saint Mary\u2019s University in 1991, master of business administration in health care from Lewis University in 1995, and doctor of nursing practice in executive leadership from Texas Tech University in 2012. Clipper currently works as an independent consultant, based in Austin, Texas. In 2014, she was selected as one of 20 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Executive Nurse Fellows, a highly-selective three-year leadership development program. Clipper previously served as vice president and chief nursing officer at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Col., chief nurse executive at St. David\u2019s Medical Center in Austin, Texas, and RUSH-Oak Park Hospital in Oak Park, Ill. She was awarded the American Organization of Nurse Executives Mentor award in 2013. Clipper is the author of <em>The Nurse Manager\u2019s Guide to an Intergenerational Workforce<\/em> and creator of newnursesuccess.com.
