Jim passed away in June 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>1980s<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Donald Pappas \u201980<\/strong> (Mantorville, Minn.) was presented with an official Minnesota Senate resolution that recognized Pappas\u2019 decades of work with The Hubbell House in Mantorville, MN. The Hubbell house has been in the Pappas family since 1946.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Terry Shapiro \u201985<\/strong> (Lake Worth, Fla.) was promoted to Vice President and Executive Director of Origins Behavioral HealthCare\u2019s Florida programs, including the Hanley Center, a preeminent provider of addiction treatment for over 30 years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>1990s<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Julie Nielsen \u201992<\/strong> (Prescott, Wis.) became the first female superintendent for South Washington County Schools. She has served the school district for 24 years, most recently holding the assistant superintendent position for the last six years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carissa Schively Slotterback \u201995 <\/strong>(Lake City, Minn.) was named dean of the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. The fellowships support the graduate study of American history by aspiring and experienced secondary school teachers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jay Wackerly \u201903 <\/strong>(Godfrey, Ill.), associate professor of chemistry at Central College, was the primary author of a research paper titled &#8220;Cambiarenes: Single-Step Synthesis and Selective Zwitterion Binding of a Clip-Shaped Macrocycle with a Redox-Active Core&#8221; in Chemistry \u2013 A European Journal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Julie Hull \u201905 <\/strong>(Shafer, Minn.) is now serving as an elementary school principal in Scandia, MN. If approval comes through, they will be able to conduct a test drilling plan outside Silver City, SD.
