School spirit goes beyond the student section at the Saturday football games. Whether it\u2019s inviting your family to experience the WSU community, cheering like crazy at a women\u2019s soccer game, attending a WSU orchestra concert, or putting a WSU lanyard on your key ring, school spirit can be seen all around us.<\/p>\n

To embrace our students\u2019 strong-hearted spirits towards our university, we would like to introduce to you\u2026 Warrior Fridays! Every Friday is now an opportunity to show your school spirit by wearing purple or Winona gear for Warrior Fridays. If you aren\u2019t the type to cheer loudly at the football game, Warrior Fridays are perfect for you.<\/p>\n

Here are some tips on boosting your school spirit and how to partake in Warrior Fridays:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1. Find Something Purple & White<\/strong><\/h4>\n

First things first, you don\u2019t need Winona gear to have school spirit — purple and white will do. Ride your bike on over to Goodwill, they have loads of purple.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t worry about not feeling like yourself in spirited-wear, find that oversized tee to cut into a crop top if that\u2019s the look you\u2019re going for. Do you like more of a slouchy style? Check the men\u2019s section at Goodwill where they carry 2XL!<\/p>\n

2. Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize<\/strong><\/h4>\n

You have a full wardrobe of purple gear\u2026now what? Go all out with not only your clothing and shades of purple, but amp up your look with accessories. <\/em>The Bookstore carries fancy-shmancy items like beaded necklaces, winter hats, and even can-cozies.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3. Win a Prize!<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Now you look like a Winona State student who obviously loves Winona State. If you participate in Warrior Fridays, you can enter a drawing at the front desk in any of the residence halls. Prizes may include a pizza, shirt, coupon and more.<\/p>\n
