In case you missed an event or two from Welcome Week\u2014or you want to\u00a0look back on all the mems\u2014we’ve\u00a0got your back. Lots happened last\u00a0week,\u00a0and we captured it all for you.<\/span> Here\u2019s a recap of this year\u2019s Welcome Week:<\/span><\/p>\n

Stakes were high for students to win big prizes at Kryzsko Commons on Thursday.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the East Room, Bingo Bash attendees bubbled with anticipation just like the colorful balls in the clear case. At the same time, Trivia Night over in the Student Activity Center quizzed students on their knowledge of movies, music, mythology, and science. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You could feel students’ excitement to be on campus:<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been nice to go to things,\u201d new student Nathan Smith said with a huge smile.<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Nathan and his friend Isabella Schroeder had tried their luck at bingo, and although Nathan didn\u2019t win anything, Isabella had won a planner that she sets to use when her current one runs out.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And for those who preferred more leisure gameplay, the Darrell Krueger Library hosted Game Night, where students enjoyed board games and card games and even some popcorn.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our campus is full of gems, and students set out on a Campus Scavenger Resource Hunt\u00a0on Friday\u00a0to discover where all our helpful offices and services are located. They also had the chance to scope out\u00a0their Fall classrooms to be ready for their first day.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the Club Fair,\u00a0hundreds of\u00a0curious faces explored club booths, smiled as they walked\u00a0through a bustling crowd of enthusiastic students, and\u00a0laughed together with new\u2014and\u00a0old\u2014friends.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There were more than 80 clubs<\/a> to check out,\u00a0with\u00a0students stopping and checking out\u00a0everything from\u00a0academic clubs,\u00a0honorary societies,\u00a0diversity\u00a0clubs\u00a0and campus clubs to sports clubs, special interest clubs,\u00a0faith-based clubs, and Greek clubs.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\u201cIt\u2019s super fun meeting new people and being away from parents,\u201d Charlotte Quehl said.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

While at the Club Fair, Charlotte and her friend said they were eager to see the Hypnotist Show and attend more events during the weekend.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking of the Hypnotist Show, students had quite the fun time laughing at their fellow classmates as they were hypnotized into playing air instruments or falling asleep on their neighbor\u2019s shoulders. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On Saturday, students soaked up the sun while devouring goodies from the Picnic Lunch and challenging one another to ultimate frisbee on the Courtyard.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Later that night, moviegoers satisfied their craving for a good flick with a showing of\u00a0<\/span>A Quiet Place Pt. II<\/span><\/i>\u00a0in the Campus Stadium.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Other night owls headed over to the McCown and Talbot gyms to get their hearts pumping at the Blacklight Games and Inflatables event, from mini golfing, mechanical bull riding, and playing glow-in-the-dark Gaga ball.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Then\u00a0everything got wrapped up on a sweet note with a bluff hike on Sunday. Students enjoyed the surrounding natural beauty while getting a workout in.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
