I’m sure I’m not speaking for myself when saying amongst the chaos of the semester it’s sometimes hard to find peace of mind. Constant stimulation from classes, work, homework, etc. leaves us little time to sort our thoughts. Stress may be inevitable, but there are ways to cope. One example is meditation. Meditation is a mentally cleansing practice that is rewarding in many aspects. During this time we allow ourselves to explore thoughts, feelings, sensations and consciousness that contribute to our overall perspective of life. The benefits are personalized: striving for clarity, becoming present, answers to questions, personal guidance and so on.

Guided mindful meditation is offered each Monday this semester in 50 minute class periods in the Memorial 300 Dance Studio. Sessions are open to and made comfortable for all with availability of cushions or chairs.
