Sometimes it can be hard to keep our head up through it all. Here is a list of tips to help you handle life’s curve balls:

1) Stay positive

Try your very best to think positively throughout the tough situations you’re in. If something that comes your way is draining or stressful, remind yourself that it will get better and it won’t always be weighing you down. Remind yourself that it will pass and things will turn around for the better. I like to remind myself of the quote, “The best is yet to come.” Even though there’s chaos now, better days are to come.

2) Take some deep breaths

Meditation can help you with handing the stressors and chaos in life. Close your eyes and focus your attention on your breathing and body. This can help you relax and focus on a single thing to calm you down.

3) Exercise

The physical activity I enjoy in order to get through the hard times is dance. Not only does it burn calories, but it also takes stress away. Go for a run, take a fitness class at the IWC or just go for walk. No matter the activity, try to use exercise as your escape.

4) Find an activity that distracts you

Whether it’s drawing, watching a movie, listening to music or reading a book – finding a way to pass the time that puts your focus on something healthy rather than the negativity in life can help you cope. A great distraction is hanging out with friends and doing something social as well! Just don’t get carried away with your distractions and let them keep you from being productive.

I hope you can use these tips to help push through all the craziness life can bring.
