With the COVID vaccine, mRNA\u00a0<\/span>can be thought of as instructions for something. These\u00a0<\/span>instructions are put into your body when you<\/span>\u00a0receive the\u00a0<\/span>vaccine,<\/span>\u00a0and your body\u00a0<\/span>puts these to use right away.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n These instructions are then used to make protein pieces in your<\/span>\u00a0ribosomes<\/span>, which then stimulates your body\u2019s immune response.\u00a0<\/span>Your body stimulates an immune response\u00a0<\/span>because the mRNA is new and has not been seen by your body before. This is because testing will<\/span> likely yield a positive result due to the virus still being present in your system from a prior infection vs. a new infection. FACT:\u00a0<\/span><\/b>The COVID-19 mRNA vaccine d<\/span>oes not alter, change, or interact with a person\u2019s DNA.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n
MYTH #3: If\u00a0<\/span><\/b>I\u2019ve<\/span><\/b>\u00a0already been ill with COVID-19, I\u00a0<\/span><\/b>don\u2019t<\/span><\/b>\u00a0need to get the vaccine because\u00a0<\/span><\/b>I\u2019m<\/span><\/b>\u00a0immune.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n
FACT:\u00a0<\/span><\/b>After being ill with COVID-19, you will have a\u00a0<\/span>built-up<\/span>\u00a0immunity to the virus for 90-days after. <\/span><\/h4>\n
