They are also less likely to seek out mental health management or counseling for mental health issues\u00a0due to the stigma of being viewed as weak.\u00a0Because of\u00a0the\u00a0perpetuation of harmful stigmas and stereotypes, men are\u00a0more likely to maintain unhealthy behaviors such as excessive drinking,\u00a0smoking and unhealthy eating habits.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Get the Stats<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"4\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/data\/nhis\/earlyrelease\/earlyrelease201605_07.pdf\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">57.6%\u00a0of men<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0(18+) met the\u00a0recommended\u00a0amount of\u00a0physical activity guidelines for aerobic activity through leisure-time aerobic activity.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233279&quot;:true}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"4\" data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/fastats\/mens-health.htm\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">30.9%\u00a0of men<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0(18+)\u00a0have\u00a0five or more drinks in\u00a0one\u00a0day at least once, based on information available from\u00a0the past year.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233279&quot;:true}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"4\" data-aria-posinset=\"3\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/fastats\/mens-health.htm\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">three leading causes of death in men<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0are heart disease, cancer, and unintentional injury from accidents.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233279&quot;:true}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">You can start\u00a0now\u00a0by making healthy lifestyle choices to reduce your risk\u00a0for\u00a0developing serious diseases like heart disease and various cancers.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_blurb][et_pb_blurb title=&#8221;Testicular Cancer &#8221; content_max_width=&#8221;100%&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Test Cancer&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.8.1&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">While not common,\u00a0testicular cancer does happen.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancer.org\/cancer\/testicular-cancer\/about\/key-statistics.html\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Every 1 in 250 men<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0will develop testicular cancer at some point in their lifetime.
