The Women of Wellness (WOW) event series delivered another unforgettable experience with WOW Soul [full] held on Friday, Feb. 7 at 125LIVE in Rochester, MN. The event brought together an inspiring community of women seeking renewal, empowerment, and connection.

The afternoon began with an engaging keynote from Sandy Anderson, MS, titled “Soulwork in the Midst of Challenge.”

The experience of challenge is universal. We’ve faced challenges in the past, are likely experiencing a current challenge, and will inevitably encounter difficulties in the future. What’s unique is how we respond and process the challenges.

It’s empowering when we recognize we have a choice and are given an opportunity to practice with strategies that change how we show up. Strategies that offer us and those we influence resilience: the strength, stability, and sanity we need, especially in uncertainty.

Sandy Anderson, MS

Sandy’s insights on realigning amidst life’s stressors resonated deeply, offering attendees practical strategies to cultivate inner resilience and balance in their daily lives.

Following the keynote, attendees immersed themselves in dynamic physical activities designed to invigorate both body and mind.

The beginner-level boxing session empowered participants to release stress and build confidence, while the drumming circle created a powerful rhythm of connection and energy. Meanwhile, the flow stretching session provided a calming yet revitalizing experience, enhancing flexibility and mental clarity.

Many attendees embraced the opportunity to explore more than one activity, embracing movement as a pathway to wellness.

After an empowering boxing class at the Women of Wellness Conference, participants left feeling stronger, more confident, and truly liberated. Learning basic bag work and punching techniques not only provided a fantastic workout but also instilled a sense of empowerment and resilience.

The energy in the room was incredible, as everyone embraced the challenge and discovered the strength they had within. This session was a perfect reminder that fitness is not just about physical strength—it’s about mental toughness and self-confidence, too!

After the energizing sessions, participants gathered to unwind and share their experiences over a spread of nourishing hors d’oeuvres. Laughter and conversation filled the room as women connected over shared insights, new friendships, and a collective commitment to well-being.

The event served as a powerful reminder of the importance of self-care, movement, and community.

As one attendee reflected, “The Women of Wellness event was a rejuvenating experience that left me feeling empowered, connected, and ready to take on new challenges.”

Another commented, “Wellness and mindset are important for personal and professional stability, reframing challenges as well as prioritizing being active are methods to maintain stability.”

And yet another attendee said, “The WOW event offered a glimpse into different physical activities and an approach to making personal adjustments to direct your own life.”

The WOW event series continues to create meaningful experiences that empower women to lead fuller, healthier lives. The next event will take place on May 15 at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum in Winona, MN with the theme HERstory—an afternoon of storytelling, inspiration, and artistic creativity.
