A big deciding factor for high school students when it comes to choosing Winona State University after graduation is the campus and housing life. With COVID-19, WSU set up a way for possible future students to get all the same information as they would on a visit to campus virtually.
Tuesday Night Events
The admissions counselors cannot wait to meet you, and an event is hosted every Tuesday night at 7:00pm to do so. WSU hosts virtual meetings where high school grads can meet with an admissions counselor to hear the Warrior Life & Admissions Session and the Housing exploration session LIVE. By going to the Winona State website and using the search bar to search “visits calendar,” prospective students can sign up to attend one of these sessions. When signing up you will receive a Zoom link for the session.
Saturday Events
Virtual “See-It-All Saturdays” are also a new way that WSU has come up with ways for students to see and get familiar with their possible future home. Through this event incoming students will get to meet what’s possible at WSU virtually in just 90 minutes. Sign up beforehand through our visits calendar to receive a Zoom link to hear LIVE the Warrior Life & Admissions Session, the housing exploration, and a current student spotlight. Hearing the information live is a great way for students to ask any questions and get answers directly from a staff or current student.
Most virtual See-It-All Saturdays include a “Meet What’s Possible” segment where we invite different academic areas to come and do a deep-dive overview into their area.
Social Media
Social Media is the go-to nowadays for young college age kids, so to find more information on these topics prospective students can go to Twitter and look at the Admissions page @WSUVisits and join the Facebook group “Winona State University Admissions Group.”
To help WSU get to know you better as a person before attending you session, we ask that you fill out a short questionnaire.
If you are unable to make any of these sessions, you can watch the Warrior Life & Admissions Presentation, Campus Tour, and Housing Tour videos WSU made for students interested in attending the University. You can also check out WSU’s “Meet What’s Possible” webpage.
