Winona State University will present at the November GRAUC meeting from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, in Coffman Hall Building – Room CF 206/208 at the WSU-Rochester/RCTC Campus.
The presentation will cover Winona State University-Rochester’s past, present and future in the greater Rochester area. Current WSU-Rochester partnerships and program offerings will be discussed, along with plans for future contributions and opportunities.
“Winona State University is a well-known higher education institution in our region, but many don’t realize the size, location, stature, and significance of WSU inside Rochester’s city limits,” said WSU President Scott Olson. “We’ve been a part of the Rochester community for nearly 100 years and are extremely proud of what WSU has done and is currently doing here. Our commitment to Rochester remains strong, and we’re excited to share our future plans for Winona State University-Rochester.”
Jeanine Gangeness, who joined WSU this summer as Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs for WSU-Rochester, said the presentation represents an opportunity to highlight the vital services that WSU provides in Rochester.
“Our goal is to make sure that everyone in the community is aware of all that Winona State University offers in Rochester and how they can get involved and benefit,” said Gangeness. “It’s more than just courses, degrees, and certificates. It’s partnerships with area businesses, starting and maintaining non-profit programs, and countless volunteer hours of our students and faculty giving back to this community.”
