Every summer the Winona and Rochester communities come alive with events and meetings that bring folks together from near and far to mingle, celebrate, and enjoy community.

At Winona State, we embrace our place within the communities we serve.

As the event calendars fill up with opportunities to get out and speak directly to our partners and stakeholders, the Adult & Continuing Education (ACE) team revels in the chance to be present and build connections.

So far this summer, ACE team members have attended Rochester Pride, the Jeremiah Program Pathways Gala, Walk Around the World (hosted by Intercultural Mutual Assistance Association), and the Warrior Club Golf Classic.

We attended many of these events alongside our colleagues from the WSU-Rochester campus who sponsor and participate in a number of activities in the Rochester community.

These events are great opportunities to engage in the community while also connecting with our colleagues. They encourage collaboration and are often the beginning of great ideas.

Summer is flying by, but we look forward to more outings in the coming months, and we hope to see more of our partners and former learners out enjoying the festivities that make our region so great.
