The Homecoming spirit lives on in Spirit Week. Curious how you can show your Warrior Pride this year while staying safe? Here’s what we’ve got planned:

Oct. 12

Embark on the Virtual Medallion Hunt (until Friday)

Guess the location of the medallion after checking out the clue posted each morning on the WSU Spirit Week’s social media platforms. You have 24 hours to correctly guess where the medallion is.

Monday through Thursday, the first person to correctly guess will receive a $10 gift card.

The first person to correctly guess on Friday will win a $20 gift card.

And if you take a picture with the correct building from the daily clue and tag WSU Spirit Week on social media, you’ll be entered in a $10 gift card drawing.

Align your chakras during Sunset Yoga on the Phelps Lawn

There will be two in-person yoga sessions from 4-4:45pm and 5-4:45pm. Make sure to bring your own yoga mat or towel. And stick around at the end for a free post-yoga yogurt parfait. (Note: These sessions are limited to 25 people each.)

If you can’t make it to the in-person sessions, no sweat. You can also participate virtually.

Oct. 13

Embrace your inner child at Chalk the Walk

Head to the Gazebo any time from 12-4pm to chalk up a drawing of what has inspired you during these difficult times. Then, for a chance to win a $20 Amazon gift card, send a picture of your drawing by 8pm.

Dig into your roots at Color & Paint a Pot

While you’re at the Gazebo, paint a pot and plant a cute succulent for free—talk about aloe-lujah! (Note: Because there will only be 200 plants total, this event is first come first serve starting at 12pm. You don’t want to miss out!)

Oct. 14

Support WSU clubs at the Yard Sign Club Fair (until Friday)

WSU clubs can design a yard sign and compete to win funding for their organization.

The WSU Spirit Week Committee will vote on the best sign made by the residence halls and student clubs, as well as their all-around choice.

Watch Black Panther on the big screen

Bring your comfiest blanket for this popular movie showing in Stark 103, SLC 120, and the Somsen Hall Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30pm and the movie starts at 7pm. (P.S. The first 100 students to arrive get a free box of candy to munch on.)

Oct. 15

Play a couple rounds of 1920s Bingo

Want to have a roaring good time? Head over to Kryzsko Commons or Lourdes Café at 7pm where you can play bingo to win from the over $1,000 worth of prizes.

If you can’t make it to the in-person game, no worries. You can also participate virtually.

Oct. 16

Vote for your favorite talent show nominee

Check out the top five nominees of Winona State’s Got Talent Show by watching a new video every day beginning Monday on WSU Spirit Week’s social media platforms.

Support Local Small Businesses for a deal

Show Winona businesses some love. Swing by Mugby Junction on Huff Street, Erberts and Gerberts, or Toppers Pizza for exclusive Spirit Week deals. The first 100 students can receive $5 off their order at each location—just show your Warrior ID.

Take advantage of these fun Spirit Week activities. Make sure to stay tuned and follow WSU Spirit Week’s Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat (@WSUHoCoevents).

And remember to snap a picture of yourself while wearing Warrior gear (and a mask), and submit it to our #PurpleFridays contest!
