The Satori, Winona State’s Student Literary Arts Journal, was a semester-long creative journal-making process, created by the editors of English 324: Projects in Writing and Language, and headed by Dr. Liberty Kohn.
Spring 2026 in Review: Theatre & Dance
On February 19th-21st, the WSU Dance Department premiered Dancescapes on the Vivian Fusillo main stage.
On April 15th-18th, the WSU Theater Department opened Godspell on the Vivian Fusillo main stage.
Beyond the Classroom: Snorkeling with Sea Turtles for College Credit
Nursing major Emma Haugen ’27 traveled to Puerto Rico with Winona State to study biology in action. The immersive experience broadened her global perspective and reinforced skills she’ll use as a future healthcare professional.
Fall 2025 in Review: Art & Design
On November 17, the Paul Watkins Art Gallery opened its doors to the “Explore Berlin: Shifting The Paradigm” exhibit, which featured work by students in the Western Art and Culture class who studied in Berlin in the summer of 2025.
Fall 2025 in Review: Music
The Winona State Music Department hosted a variety of recitals and concerts throughout October and November 2025, including a Music Faculty Recital, Cantus featuring the Winona State Choirs, the 48th Annual WSU Honor Band Concert & Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the WSU Jazz Combo Concert, and the “The Wild and Divine” Choir Concert.

The Winona State Theatre Department showcased Secret in the Wings, a play written by Mary Zimmerman and play I and You by Lauren Gunderson.
