Winona State University will host its annual Homecoming celebration now through Sunday, Sept. 27. This year’s theme is “Shine Bright Like a Warrior.”
The Homecoming parade will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, on Huff Street from Broadway to Mark Street. After the parade, community members are invited to attend the WSU Tailgate Party from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the WSU Courtyard (Rain location: Jack Kane Dining Hall & East Hall in Kryzsko Commons). Meals are available for $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 and under. There will be activities such as a photo booth, music, lawn games, and a spirit station.
At 2:30 p.m. the Warriors football team will take on St. Cloud State University at Maxwell Field, Altra Federal Credit Union Stadium.
Additional Homecoming events include the 2015 Distinguished Alumni Recognition, Hall of Fame Induction, Warrior Waddle 5k Run/Walk and Pep Fest.
